Job summary

General Mills Winnipeg is seeking a Food Safety Quality (FSQ) Technician to join our plant team. You’ll support daily operations to ensure products meet food safety and quality standards, partner with production, sanitation and maintenance, and lead improvements across verification, testing and traceability programs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field and 1+ years in a manufacturing quality setting, with strong problem solving, organization and collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology or related field.
• 1+ years of experience in manufacturing in a Quality role would be an asset.
• Demonstrated decision making, initiative and leadership abilities.
• Strong organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple priorities

Responsibilities

• Monitoring Product Quality - measure key quality characteristics of the process.
• Process Management – inspect and audit processes and products to ensure conformance to standards.
• Food Safety Incident Control - investigate food safety incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Continuous Improvement - support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Record and communicate results using applicable quality systems.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology or related field
