Job summary

Naturally Homegrown Foods in Surrey, BC is seeking a production operator to support our fryer and packaging lines. You will assemble and change slicer blades, monitor oil quality on six fryers, perform QA, and help maintain GMP compliance. Forklift certification and ability to lift 50 pounds are required.

Starting wage is $20.60 CAD per hour. Shift is Monday to Thursday, 4 AM to 2 PM. We offer health/dental, RRSP matching, Employee Assistance Program, and a chip‑friendly, team‑oriented culture.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and change slicer blades as needed.
• Manage oil quality on all 6 fryers.
• Set up and monitor all 6 fryers for QA and GMP compliance.
• Clean and monitor fryers and conveyors during the shift.
• Maintain Biogas records and HSAP documentation.
• Adhere to GMPs and ensure plant cleanliness throughout the day.
• Other tasks as assigned by the Production Supervisor.

Your Mission:

• Assemble and change slicer blades as needed and required.


• Managing oil quality on all 6 fryers.


• Setting up and monitoring all 6 fryers ensuring strict adherence to guidelines for quality assurance of all products.


• Cleaning and monitoring of fryers and conveyors through-out the course of the shift.


• Responsible for Biogas record keeping and other HSAP required documentation.


• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).


• Ensure that plant cleanliness is maintained throughout the day including, but not limited to sweeping in work area.


• Other tasks as assigned by the Production Supervisor.

What You Bring:

• Must have be forklift certified.


• Must be reliable and punctual.


• Must be able to climb up and down the fryer stairs on a regular basis, as required.


• Ability to perform under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment.


• Ability to stand, bend, and lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.


• Ability to work well in a team environment.


• Highly flexible and ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.


• Strong work ethic with a high regard for accuracy and quality.

Good to Know:

• This position requires successful completion of a clear background check prior to start date.


• Must be available to work the Monday to Thursday 4AM to 2PM


• Steel Toed Safety Shoes are required, Personal Protective Equipment will be provided onsite.


• Starting wage is $20.60 per hour.
