Job summary

General Mills Canada Corp seeks a Frozen Food Packer in Winnipeg to join a team handling packaging in a cold environment. The role covers 24 to 36 hours per week with a night shift from 18:00 to 06:00, and it is a permanent position with a path from part-time to full-time.

Responsibilities

• Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers for mixing and grinding.

• Inspect products and packaging for basic quality defects.
• Assist process control and machine operators in daily duties.
• Clean machines and immediate work areas.

• The candidate must be knowledgeable about food safety and handling.
• The candidate must measure and dump ingredients into the hoppers of mixing and grinding machines.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
• There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be able to handle weights of up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate should be reliable.
• The candidate should be a good team player.
• The candidate must be able to work in cold or refrigerated conditions.
