Job summary

Sunshine Coast Health Centre (SCHC) and Georgia Strait Women’s Clinic (GSWC) are seeking a casual housekeeping employee in Powell River. This frontline team supports a multi-disciplinary mental health care facility with a focus on respectful client interaction and teamwork.

The role requires a Class 5 Driver's License, First Aid and CPR certification, and preferred WHMIS certification. Regular opportunities for training and advancement exist within the organization.

Qualifications

• Class 5 Drivers License (required).
• First Aid and CPR certification (required).

Responsibilities

• Carry out housekeeping duties (primary job responsibility).
• Communicate professionally and effectively verbally and in writing.
• Follow oral and written instructions.
• Work independently as well as in a fast-paced environment.
• Operate related equipment.
• Maintain the physical requirements and duties of the position.
• Assist in other frontline operations such as food preparation, client support, medication dispensing, and driving.

• The Frontline Team is the foundation department of SCHC and GSWC, with many of the organization’s long-term staff starting in it.
