Job description

Reporting to the Group Sales Manager, the Retail Lead is responsible for overseeing the successful day-to-day operation of a retail store department.

Responsibilities :

• Provide supervision and leadership to the team members of the department in partnership with the manager.
• Delegate tasks and work assignments to team members by giving clear and concise directions and follow-up to ensure proper execution.
• Foster the growth and development of team members by training them on standard operating procedures and processes.
• Ensure team members follow all standard operating procedures and system processes, providing correction and guidance when needed, and reporting violations to the manager.
• Perform administrative tasks related to the assigned department.
• Provide excellent customer service by identifying and evaluating customer needs and making product recommendations based on this analysis.
• Promote company programs to team members and customers.
• Maintain visual presentation standards, including in-store signage, merchandise recovering, front-facing, restocking, remerchandising, dusting, and vacuuming the sales floor as needed.
• Respond to and resolve customer issues using good judgment and logic within the scope of the job.
• Assist in other store areas as needed based on business requirements.

Qualifications :

• Two or more years of supervisory experience in a sales or service environment preferred.
• Open availability required; must be able to work store opening and closing shifts, including weekends.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to evaluate customer needs and make appropriate recommendations.
• Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer expectations.
• Good judgment and logical decision-making skills.
• Experience in related fields or outdoor lifestyle preferred.
• Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela's specific products is an asset.
