About Unblocked

Unblocked is a high-growth, well-funded SaaS company that helps answer questions software development teams have about their applications. This allows them to spend less time in meetings/dealing with interruptions and more time writing code.

We are a small team with a track record of building developer tools that solve real problems. We encourage participation in the entire product development process, and you will have the opportunity to help define Unblocked and shape its roadmap, implement the solutions that deliver the experience customers love, and get firsthand feedback from the teams who use what we have built.

About You

You’ve gained solid experience as a software engineer with a track record of building and shipping products that customers love. You’ve implemented a variety of user interfaces, from simple forms to complicated, multi-view workflows. You have a keen attention to detail; you aren’t happy until everything is pixel-perfect.

What You’ll Do

• Implement user interfaces and workflows for our client applications: the Unblocked website, IDE plugins, and Mac App.
• Implement designs for our marketing sites and email campaigns.
• Define client/server APIs, and help with the implementation of API services.
• Collaborate with our design team to help define user interfaces and workflows.
• Help define the Unblocked product roadmap.

Requirements

• Based in Vancouver, British Columbia (and be in the office 4 days a week).
• Intermediate-level software development skills using modern web APIs and libraries.
• Experience with client data-handling techniques: fetching, processing, and caching.
• Experience with web-adjacent technologies, like Electron and Node.
• Experience building client applications using platform-native languages and tools.
• Experience building client/server APIs and backend services.
