Job Requirements
  • Direct and control activities of the Front Office, Reservations, Guest Activities, ensuring adherence to Sandman Hotels Group standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure qualified personnel are recruited, hired, trained, and informed of department objectives and policies.
  • Maintain proper image standards regarding grooming and uniforms among team members.
  • Support and participate in hotel programs, policies, and procedures, including new employee orientation.
  • Handle disciplinary actions fairly with proper documentation.
  • Prepare forecasts and work with Reservations, Front Office, and Sales to maximize occupancy, rates, and revenue.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with all hotel departments to ensure maximum participation, productivity, morale, and guest service.
  • Develop relationships with clients, returning guests, and group contacts to provide personalized service.
  • Suggest operational improvements to increase guest satisfaction, revenue, and reduce costs.
  • Support the hotel’s philosophy on employee development and morale, implementing programs to promote this within the Rooms Division.
  • Monitor and analyze payroll for the Rooms Division to ensure efficiency.
Applicable Skills
  • Previous hotel management experience, particularly in the Rooms Division.
  • Strong supervisory skills, good judgment, and common sense.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
