Job summary

River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond, BC is seeking a Front Desk Agent to warmly welcome guests, manage check-ins, and assist with reservations while guiding guests through hotel, dining, entertainment, and casino options.

You will join a 900+ strong team, delivering hospitality with professional, polished service. Opera Cloud experience is a plus; flexible hours include evenings, weekends, and holidays. A criminal record check is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in hospitality or customer service.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Secondary language an asset.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience using Opera Cloud is a strong asset.
  • Ability to clear a criminal record check.

Responsibilities

  • Guest Welcome & Check-In — greet guests with warmth and professionalism.
  • Room Assignments — book rooms based on reservations and availability.
  • Resort and Casino Knowledge — provide information on hotel, dining, and entertainment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Welcome & Check‑In — Greet guests with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a smooth and efficient arrival experience.
  • Room Assignments — Book guests into rooms based on reservations, preferences, and availability.
  • Resort and Casino Knowledge — Provide helpful information about River Rock’s hotel amenities, casino offerings, dining, entertainment, and services.
  • Reservations Support — Assist with room reservations as needed.
  • Cashiering & Payments — Process payments and deposits with accuracy and care.
  • Guest Communications — Handle telephone inquiries, messages, and guest requests promptly and professionally.
  • Service Coordination — Arrange special services such as laundry, room service, and additional amenities.
  • Department Collaboration — Communicate effectively with operational teams to support a seamless guest experience.
  • Relationship Building — Build strong working relationships with guests, colleagues, and leadership.
  • Regulatory Compliance — Ensure adherence to licensing laws, health and safety standards, and all regulatory requirements.
  • Additional Duties — Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in hospitality or customer service
