Job summary

Netflix Animation Studios Australia Pty Ltd in Vancouver, BC, is seeking an Associate Technical Supervisor to mentor TDs and guide the front-end of the production pipeline for animated features. You’ll oversee tools, workflows, and collaboration across modelling, rigging, surfacing, and environments to meet creative and technical goals.

You’ll lead technical direction, troubleshoot pipelines, and partner with leadership to deliver efficient, high-quality animation while upholding studio

Qualifications

• 5+ years of pipeline TD experience in animated features/TV/VFX.
• Strong Python skills with PyQt or a GUI toolkit; USD knowledge a plus.
• Experience with production tracking tools (Flow/ShotGrid) and DCCs.
• Git/GitHub, code review and Jira with Agile practices.
• Degree in Animation/Film/CS/Engineering/Math/Physics or equivalent experience; leadership ability.

Responsibilities

• Understand visual goals and design tools, workflows for artists.
• Troubleshoot and optimize production workflows with existing or new tools.
• Test, validate, and track issues with Technical Supervisors and R&D.
• Build and improve studio-wide pipeline; enable cross-department collaboration.
• Provide day-to-day technical guidance to TDs and mentor team members.
