Job summary

Pentasia is looking for a Senior Front End Developer to be based on-site in Vancouver. You will be responsible for building and maintaining high-performance web applications using Next.js and React, leading frontend architecture, and mentoring junior developers. This is a full-time position requiring 7–8+ years of experience and a strong proficiency in modern web technologies.

Job description

Location : this role is on-site in Vancouver (5 days at the office)

Employment Type : Full-time

Experience Level : Senior (7–8+ years)

Main Responsibilities :

• Build and maintain high-performance web applications using Next.js and React.
• Lead frontend architecture and optimize performance for scalability.
• Design accessible, responsive UI components with modern CSS tools.
• Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs into the frontend.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and improvements.

Desired experience :

Expert-level proficiency in Next.js and modern React.

Experience with state management tools (e.g., Redux, Zustand).

Proficient in HTML / CSS and styling frameworks like Tailwind, SCSS, or Styled Components.

Familiar with CI / CD workflows, version control, and build tools like Vite or Webpack.

Experience with headless CMS and frontend testing libraries (Jest, Cypress).

Knowledge of Web3 or UI / UX design principles is a plus.
