Job summary

Crown Holdings, Inc. in Calgary's Foothills Industrial Park is seeking a Front End Operator to support the aluminum can production line.

You will perform mechanical adjustments, operate automated equipment, and help maintain line flow with attention to safety and quality. Candidates should have 3+ years of manufacturing experience, forklift license, ability to work 12-hour shifts on a 4 on – 4 off schedule, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Formal training or on-the-job training on mechanical components (pumps, motors, gearboxes, belts).
• Forklift license required.

Responsibilities

• Operate one or more automated machines or equipment for aluminum can production.
• Keep lines flowing with continuous quality checks and minor adjustments to conveyors.
• Recordkeeping of production status and equipment issues; follow SOPs.
• Work effectively in a team and maintain a safe, clean work area.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform 12-hour shifts on a 4 on – 4 off schedule.

This facility manufactures aluminum cans for the beverage industry. This position will perform a variety of mechanical adjustments, maintenance, repairs, installation, and modification of manufacturing equipment for the production and manufacture of aluminum cans of the highest quality. Other responsibilities would include, but are not limited to the following: * Safety & Quality minded with willingness for excellence required in all aspects of the job* Responsible for the operation of one or more automated machines or equipment for the production of aluminum cans* Must keep lines flowing, make continuous quality checks, & minor adjustments to conveyor belts and various factory equipment* Accurate and continuous quality checks and recordkeeping required* Understand and follow verbal instructions for completion of assigned tasks* Keeps Production Supervisors/Managers informed of operational status of equipment and production issues* Follows standard operating procedures* Must be able to work effectively in a team environment* Performs other related duties as required* Keeps work area safe, clean, and organized Job Requirements **Formal education/training or on the job training working on mechanical components such as pumps, conveying, motors, gearboxes, belts, pulleys etc. is a definite asset.
