Canadian Tire Corporation, Ltd. is seeking a Cashier Manager to lead the checkout and customer service areas and ensure a smooth, friendly, and efficient store experience. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will drive customer satisfaction and retail execution to meet performance expectations.

You will supervise a diverse team, coordinate daily activities, and uphold health and safety standards while supporting a positive, inclusive work environment with opportunities for growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or managerial experience required.
• Ability to work shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Comfort with standing for extended periods and cash handling.
• Experience in retail sales is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Foster a culture of excellent customer service.
• Ensure efficient customer traffic flow at the front of the store.
• Maintain the department's presentation quality (cashier and customer service area).

Responsibilities:

• Manage team members' performance, provide informal and constructive feedback, and recognize achievements and efforts.
• Provide assistance and backup to cashiers and customer service representatives.
• Prepare work schedules that meets business needs while working withing budget guidelines.
• Help with the store opening and closing responsibilities.
• Assist in selecting and orientating new employees.
• Resolve issues and conflicts while ensuring customer satisfaction and employee satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.

Requirements / Skills

• Supervisory, leadership and/or managerial experience or relevant experience
• Ability to work shifts (days, evenings, week-ends and holidays)
• Approachable
• Ability to handle physical demands including standing/walking for 8 hours
• Ability to plan, organize, communication, delegate and follow up team's activities and projects
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to find solutions to problems, adapt and cope with challenging situations and make difficult decisions
