Job summary

VDart Inc. is seeking a Front end developer for a hybrid role in Downtown Toronto. You will own the design and delivery of high quality features, provide estimates, and actively participate in sprint planning.

The position requires strong knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks, REST APIs, and collaboration with UX designers and product owners. You will work with automated testing tools (Jest, Cypress, Playwright) and maintain secure, performant front-end code in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in web application development using Agile methodologies.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React or Vue.js).
• Experience writing and consuming REST APIs and collaborating with UX designers and Product owners.

Responsibilities

Front end developer

Contract/Fulltime

Location: Downtown Toronto (Hybrid)

Responsibilities and Duties

• Own the design and delivery of high quality features and enhancements.
• Provide estimates and actively participate in the spring planning process.
• Produce highly secure solutions.
• Tune the performance of the existing codebase and peer review code.
• Work closely with the technical lead and team members to design and plan components and interaction patterns, actively participating in design discussions and decision-making processes.
• Participate in technical and architecture discussions about our front-end applications

Qualifications and Skills

• Front-end development experience and knowledge of Javascript modern frameworks like React or Vue.js.
• Experience writing and working with REST APIs.
• Collaborate with other cross-functional teams working on features for our customers
• Familiarity with automated build pipelines; continuous integration or continuous delivery
• Proven experience using code repositories such as GitHub.
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with UX designers and Product owners to deliver the best UX for our customers
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality code using automated tests for unit tests and end-to-end tests (using Jest, Cypress, Playwright)
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast pace customer centric environment.
• 5+ years of experience in web application development using Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.

Nice to have

• Experience with A/B testing
• Familiarity with deploying to cloud providers in and container-based distributed systems (Docker).
