Job summary

Walmart Canada in Midland, Ontario is seeking a customer-focused associate to greet customers, process purchases and support self-checkout operations. You will help load bags, promote programs, and maintain a safe, clean work area while protecting register integrity.

Training will cover cash handling, EAS procedures, and appropriate referrals to supervisors to ensure a smooth shopping experience for all shoppers in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Age – 16 or older

Responsibilities

• Greets all customers in a polite and friendly manner.
• Processes all purchase transactions in a timely and efficient manner, including deactivation of merchandise with respect to the EAS Program.
• Promotes company sponsor programs, ie. Credit card service, product protection and charity initiatives.
• Assists customers with bagging and loading of merchandise.
• Ensures safe work practices are followed including proper lifting and keeping a clean work area.
• Maintains register security and integrity through diligent cash handling, adherence to relevant company policies and awareness of surroundings..
• Refers appropriate service and transactional items to a Customer Service Manager or Front End Team Lead.
• Educating and supporting customers on the correct and efficient use of self-checkout options.
