Job summary

Wal-Mart Canada Corp in Pembroke, ON is seeking a friendly Front End Associate to greet customers, process purchases, and promote services. You will assist with bagging, ensure safe practices, and maintain cash handling integrity while guiding customers through self-checkout options.

This role requires 16+ years of age, strong customer service, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Training and a supportive team are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years or older.
• Able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks.
• Friendly, helpful attitude with strong communication skills.
• Basic math and cash handling aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Greets all customers in a polite and friendly manner.
• Processes all purchase transactions in a timely and efficient manner, including deactivation of merchandise with respect to the EAS Program.
• Promotes company sponsor programs, ie. Credit card service, product protection and charity initiatives.
• Assists customers with bagging and loading of merchandise.
• Ensures safe work practices are followed including proper lifting and keeping a clean work area.
• Maintains register security and integrity through diligent cash handling, adherence to relevant company policies and awareness of surroundings.
• Refers appropriate service and transactional items to a Customer Service Manager or Front End Team Lead.
• Educating and supporting customers on the correct and efficient use of self-checkout options.
