What will your compensation be?
The starting salary for this position is $20.00 per hour.

What will you do in this job?

  • Review and verify the work of hotel front desk clerks.
  • Supervise the activities and coordinate the scheduling of the front desk team.
  • Arrange training and orientation of all new front desk team members.
  • Coordinate front desk activities with other departments.
  • Enter rooming lists in the computer system.
  • Coordinate handling of all tours and tour policies.
  • Ensure accurate room counts are kept.
  • Submit room forecasting and progress reports.
  • Open and close room availability when necessary.
  • Effectively handle guest inquiries and complaints.
  • Learn procedures and functions of hotel front desk clerks.

What skills and experience do you need for this job?

  • 2+ years experience in a major hotel, one year of supervisory experience an asset.
  • Able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Most tasks are performed in a team environment with the employee acting as a team leader.
  • Able to work with minimal direct supervision.
  • Basic computational ability.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of hotel computer accounting programs, such as Maestro.
