What you will do:

This role is the primary service and maintenance contact for Trane Technologies customers in a defined market with a diverse commercial base including Healthcare, Process Manufacturing Facilities, Education Institutions, and Office Complexes. You will be commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and starting up HVAC systems in a commercial environment. You will utilize your knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts. This position offers the opportunity to work with internal and external partners, from new facility setups to retrofits of existing facilities. Trane provides access to technical support, training on the newest technology, and comprehensive career paths with growth opportunities.

  • Coordinate with team leaders/project managers and customers to understand requirements for on-site installation and repairs, forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize work.
  • Serve as the direct contact for customers, responsible for products and equipment on projects, ensuring satisfaction by diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems.
  • Use software, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units.
  • Maintain flexibility to work overtime and weekends, including occasional overnight stays, demonstrating team effort and dedication.
  • Enforce safety standards and maintain security and accountability of company assets.

What you will bring:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent, with typically 5+ years of HVAC experience. Technical training is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and handheld devices such as smartphones or tablets.
  • A valid driver’s license for at least 12 months, with no major traffic violations in the past 3 years.
  • EPA Certification.

Additional Requirements and Environmental Exposure:

  • Ability to operate a vehicle safely and legally.
  • Ability to wear safety gear, work in confined spaces, and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 40 lbs. regularly and more occasionally.
  • Comfort with working outdoors, at heights, and in variable weather conditions.
