Job summary

New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) in Moncton seeks a dynamic French Second Language Instructor for a term position (December to June 2027). You will plan, deliver, and assess French instruction, maintain a positive learning environment, and collaborate with colleagues and community partners.

The ideal candidate has a post-secondary diploma or Bachelor's with bilingual experience, advanced French proficiency, and excellent English/French communication skills. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a two-year post-secondary diploma and a minimum of 5 years of experience working in a bilingual environment.
• OR a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of two years of experience working in a bilingual environment.
• OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Preference will be given to candidates who have experience teaching a second language
• Candidates must have scored a minimum of Advanced on the New Brunswick Evaluation for French Language Proficiency.
• Written and spoken competence in English and French is required.

Responsibilities

• As part of the School of Arts, Community and Protective Services you will plan and prepare instructional materials and resources; establish a positive learning environment; instruct and evaluate students; supervise a French language lab; build relationships with students and stakeholders.
• You will have experience working in a bilingual environment and teaching French as a second language; demonstrate interpersonal skills and ability to plan and organize in a team.
