Job summary

Pembina Hills School Division invites applications for the position of Regular Full Time Educational Assistant based out of École Westlock Elementary School. This position will begin as soon as possible and will end June 25, 2027.

The successful candidate must be a self-directed team player who is interested in working with students with complex needs in a French Immersion classroom. Hours of work will be Monday to Friday at 6.5 hours per day, 32.5 hours per week, following the school calendar.

Qualifications

• Experience with complex needs and behaviorally challenged students is an asset.
• Understanding of childhood development preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students and adults.
• Able to work as a member of the school team.
• Enthusiastic and motivated to help students succeed.
• SIVA Training would be an asset.
• First aid would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Work with students with complex needs in a French Immersion classroom.
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 6.5 hours per day, 32.5 hours per week, following the school calendar.
• Collaborate as part of the school team and contribute to a positive learning environment.
