Job description

ORCAFY is a Restaurant social media marketing agency. We're looking for a self-sufficient freelance videographer who can handle a full shoot solo (6 to 8 social media reels + 6 images) within 4 to 5 hours each session.

• Portfolio of food and restaurant video content is required — reels and images
• Shoot food, drinks, plating, and ambience — sometimes from a script, sometimes from an example reel
• Each session covers 6 to 8 reels and 6 images within a 4 to 5 hour window.
• Work is project-based and allocated in advance — you'll know your shoots for the week ahead of time.
• Run the entire shoot on your own, no assistant or support on site
• Sort all files into clearly labeled folders by date and venue, and send everything back the same day or the next morning
• Comfortable coordinating with the client on site, making them feel at ease, and taking full control of the shoot
• Good understanding of food lighting and how to make dishes look their best on camera
• Good eye for shooting and capturing images specifically for Instagram reels and social media
• Shoots may take place in the evening and can run until midnight, depending on the event or restaurant

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have your own car, a valid driver's license, and be comfortable driving around the GTA to reach shoot locations

MUST HAVE OWN EQUIPMENTS

• A camera body that can trigger an external flash
• Portable Lights and diffusers
• Multiple lenses suited for food and restaurant shoots
• Memory cards

COMPENSATION

$30/hour, billed from the moment the shoot starts on location to the moment it wraps. Gas is reimbursed per km travelled from your location to the shoot and back.

Able to complete a small test shoot and send the footage back to us before being onboarded
