Job description

Location: Hybrid Downtown Toronto, Ontario

Terms: 6-month contract, with opportunity of extension

Hours: 37.5 hours/week Monday-Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled Video Production Specialist to own video projects end to end — from concept and planning through filming and post‑production. This role is ideal for a hands‑on professional who can balance creative storytelling with strong production and editing execution, delivering high‑quality video content that aligns with business and brand objectives.

The successful candidate is comfortable working across the full video lifecycle, collaborating with stakeholders, and managing multiple projects while maintaining high creative and technical standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define video objectives, audience, and messaging.
  • Develop creative concepts, scripts, and outlines.
  • Build production plans, timelines, and light budgets.
  • Coordinate logistics including locations, talent, equipment, and releases.
  • Prepare projects for efficient and effective post‑production.
Production
  • Lead or support filming for interviews, b‑roll, and short‑form content (Short‑form videos, interviews, product walk‑throughs, internal communications, etc.)
  • Direct on‑camera talent to achieve confident, natural performances.
  • Ensure footage meets creative, technical, and brand standards.
  • Work independently or with small crews as required.
  • Edit raw footage into engaging, well‑paced narratives.
  • Perform color correction, basic grading, and audio cleanup.
  • Create and integrate motion graphics, titles, and lower thirds.
  • Manage feedback cycles and implement revisions.
  • Deliver final assets optimized for web, social, and internal platforms.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 3–6+ years of experience in video production and editing (corporate, agency, or freelance).
  • Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro and working knowledge of After Effects or similar tools.
  • Strong storytelling, pacing, and visual composition skills.
  • Working knowledge of camera operation, lighting, and audio capture.
  • Experience delivering content across multiple platforms and formats.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred / Bonus Skills
  • Experience with captions, accessibility standards, and platform optimization.
  • Familiarity with AI‑assisted editing tools (e.g. Adobe AI features).
