Job summary

Plusgrade Travel is seeking a Contract Consultant for its Risk team to detect fraud in real time across our loyalty platforms. You will query large datasets, hunt for emerging patterns, and balance fraud prevention with user friction for global travellers.

You will tune rules in Cybersource, Adyen, or Kount, validate AI outputs, and lead root-cause investigations under pressure, delivering actionable insights to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proficient in writing complex SQL queries and joining datasets.
• Ability to spot behavioral anomalies in transaction data.
• Experience tuning fraud rules in Cybersource, Adyen or Kount.
• Experience validating AI outputs before sharing insights with stakeholders.
• Ability to make rapid, accurate decisions under pressure.

What You’ll Be Doing

Transaction volumes across our global loyalty products are scaling rapidly, and the Risk team needs someone who wants to catch active fraud rings in real time, not just review flags in a queue. Your days will be spent querying large datasets, hunting for emerging fraud patterns, and keeping friction minimal for legitimate travelers. AI handles the first pass on variance analysis and financial risk summaries, leaving you free to focus on the complex discrepancies, root‑cause investigations, and judgment calls that actually need human eyes.

What You Bring

You will write complex SQL queries and joins in your sleep, pulling and manipulating disparate datasets without waiting for someone else to prepare the data for you. You spot behavioral anomalies and hidden patterns in transaction data before they show up as spikes in chargeback metrics. You make swift, accurate calls on queued transactions under pressure, finding the right balance between fraud prevention and user friction. You have hands‑on experience tuning rules and workflows inside platforms like Cybersource, Adyen, or Kount rather than just relying on out‑of‑the‑box settings. When it comes to AI, you don't just use it, you've replaced recurring manual reporting and data cleanup with workflows you built, and you know how to validate AI outputs before sharing insights with stakeholders.
