Job summary

Questrade Financial Group (QFG) is seeking a Fraud Analyst to conduct timely investigations across digital banking, brokerage, wires and EFTs. You will identify suspicious activity, document cases, and escalate per standards, working with internal teams and external partners.

The role supports a hybrid workplace with flexible shifts within core hours 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Monday to Sunday, and offers health benefits, vacation, competitive compensation and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years experience in financial services, risk management and/or financial crimes.
• Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or CFCS is a strong asset.

The Fraud Risk Management team is Questrade Financial Group’s line of defense in protecting customer wealth and ensuring Canadians can invest with complete confidence. Reporting to the Fraud Supervisor or Manager, the Fraud Analyst conducts timely, high-impact investigative analysis across all QFG business units and payment channels—including digital banking, brokerage trading, wires, and EFTs. In this role, you will proactively identify, evaluate, and action suspicious activity to minimize financial and reputational risk while ensuring all cases are documented and escalated according to rigorous standards. Working closely with both internal teams and external financial partners, you'll play a direct role in safeguarding our ecosystem across flexible shift schedules within our core operating hours (7:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Monday – Sunday).

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Monitors and analyzes various information provided through detection systems, tools, reports, or manually to evaluate, investigate and determine based on the required actions.
• Oversee Service Level Agreements and Alert Queues/Inboxes to timely action alerts and requests.
• Identify fraud patterns and trends; engage with appropriate business partners to elevate if needed.
• Work closely and effectively with the rest of the Fraud Team in sharing information and trends for fast actioning.
• Supports the collection of evidence and information to be used for multiple purposes including incident reports/filings, loss prevention, litigation and criminal prosecution, management information and statistics, and process improvements.
• Documents actions and information found throughout the investigation to develop and maintain account/case files.
• Engage with clients through various communication channels to deliver an outstanding client experience helping our clients become much more financially successful and secure.
• Educate & provide advice to stakeholders and clients to meet their immediate security needs and provide tailored solutions to protect them and prevent fraud losses.
• Promote operational excellence within the department while balancing the need to conduct appropriate, thorough investigations.
• Provides input and develops recommendations for process and customer service improvements.
• Maintain productive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
• Prepares reports, notifications and activity/case filings to upper management or as required.
• Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems.
• Stays abreast of financial crimes risk trends, relevant regulations and compliance standards.
• Other duties or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

• 1-2+ years experience working in financial services, risk management, and/or financial crimes (i.e. AML, Fraud, etc.).
• Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Certified Financial Crime Specialist (CFCS) is a strong asset.

Compensation Information:

Base salary range: $55,000 - 60,000

The final compensation package will be commensurate with the successful candidate's experience, skills, and geographic location (Canada). It includes a comprehensive benefits plan and a competitive incentive (bonus) program for Full-Time Permanent roles.
