Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a hands-on Fractional Controller in Calgary. This hybrid role (3–4 days on-site, 1–2 remote) owns the accounting and financial reporting function and partners with the leadership team.

Key duties include monthly statements and management reporting, month/year-end closes, cash flow forecasting, budgets and financial models, and liaison with auditors. CPA is required; startup/tech experience is a strong asset.

Qualifications

• CPA designation is required.
• Progressive accounting and finance experience at Controller/Assistant Controller or Finance Manager level preferred.
• Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle, monthly reporting, year-end processes and cash management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reporting (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
• Oversee month-end/year-end close, GL oversight and reconciliations.
• Analyze results, variances and trends; provide insights to management.
