Job summary

FYidoctors is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team in Calgary. You will support budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and management reporting across the organization, turning financial and operational data into insights that inform business decisions.

You’ll work closely with Finance and business partners to develop models, analyze variances, and provide actionable commentary. A CPA/CFA in progress is a plus, with 2–4 years in FP&A or corporate finance, and strong Excel/BI

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• CPA or CFA Professional Finance designation completed or in progress is considered an asset.
• 2–4 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, or corporate finance.
• Experience with EPM applications (OneStream, Hyperion, etc.) BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
• Strong data manipulation skills, including Excel (Power Query)
• Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis
• Ability to set and achieve goals based on alignment with business objectives
• Ability to handle pressure and meet tight deadlines in an environment with a high volume of activity, while being detailed, organized and thorough
• Ability to approach challenges with a problem‑solving mindset
• Ability to build positive relationships and fosters company culture
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Support budgeting and forecasting processes with inputs and consolidation.
• Prepare and maintain financial forecasts and models using actuals and trends.
• Perform monthly and quarterly variance analysis and identify drivers.
• Assist monthly/quarterly business reviews with analysis and commentary.
• Analyze performance across locations and a manufacturing facility to identify profitability drivers.
• Develop and maintain reporting tools using Excel, Power BI and Power Query.
• Support automation and continuous improvement of FP&A processes.
• Extract and analyze data from financial systems (NetSuite, OneStream) ensuring data integrity.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance for financial analysis and initiatives.
• Assist with financial modeling, scenario analysis and business cases.
• Perform ad hoc analyses to support leadership initiatives.
