Job Title: FP&A Analyst

Salary: $70,000+

Location: Richmond, BC. In-office 4 days per week

We are a fast-moving, entrepreneurial organization seeking a talented FP&A Analyst to join our Finance team to help drive smarter decisions and sustainable growth.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a results-oriented and analytical FP&A Analyst to join our team. This role will drive financial visibility across the organization, support strategic decision-making, and enhance profitability through deep pricing and margin analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the monthly and quarterly financial forecasting, budgeting, and planning process.
  • Perform variance analysis between actuals, forecast, and budget, with clear communication of key drivers to stakeholders.
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, and Product teams to provide insights that improve financial performance, pricing strategy, and SKU rationalization.
  • Conduct detailed category-level and SKU-level margin analysis, highlighting underperforming SKUs and helping shift focus to higher-margin opportunities.
  • Identify SKUs that are not delivering acceptable margins, and partner with cross-functional teams to action these through price adjustments, cost negotiations with factories, or discontinuation strategies.
  • Analyze customer-level profitability, pricing compliance, and trade spend effectiveness to help optimize gross margin across channels.
  • Support the development of dashboards and reporting tools to track KPIs and drive visibility across the business.
  • Prepare executive-ready presentations and materials for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead or support ad hoc analysis and scenario modeling to evaluate business cases and strategic initiatives.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (CFA, CPA, or MBA is a strong asset).
  • 3+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or a related analytical role.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills; familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of pricing, cost structure, and margin optimization in a product-driven business.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills able to translate data into clear, actionable insights for cross-functional teams.
  • High attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and juggling multiple priorities.
