Job summary

West Fraser invites applications for a Fourth Class Power Engineer based in Alberta’s Blue Ridge area. You’ll be responsible for care, control, and operation of thermal fluid heaters, water treatment systems, mechanical refiners, and remote computer-controlled systems.

Work in both a control room and on the production floor, maintain a safe environment, perform quality testing, data logging, and support continuous improvement as part of a dynamic operations team.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid fourth-class power engineering designation, including firing time.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Desire to progress, learn, grow and succeed.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
