Startdate is seeking a Fourth-Class Marine Engineer (motor) to maintain, repair and keep clean all machinery aboard a vessel operating between Montreal, QC and St. John’s, NL. The role reports to the Chief Engineer and requires proficiency in English and French, strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

Starting: December 4, 2026. Status: Temporary, open-ended term. Boarding location: Montreal.

We have an opening for a Fourth-Class Marine Engineer (motor)for one of our vessels, which sails between Montreal, QC to St. John's, NL. Under the supervision of the Chief Engineer, the 4th-Class Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, repair and cleanliness of all machinery and equipment assigned to him.

Qualifications :

• Ship Personnel with Designated Security Duties Proficiency
• Knowledge of French and English
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Capacity to work under pressure
