Job summary

Simantic in Waterloo, ON / San Francisco, CA is hiring a founding firmware engineer to architect and develop our mixed-signal simulation platform for firmware and electrical engineers. This full-time role includes hardware verification systems to ensure simulation matches real-world behavior.

You will work on embedded systems, read datasheets, debug PCBs with lab equipment, and contribute to SIL/HIL verification loops, CUDA/OpenCL work, and tool development for embedded devices.

Job description

Location: Waterloo, ON, Canada / San Francisco, CA, USA · Full-time

Compensation: $100K-$250K USD + 1-3% equity

As a founding firmware engineer, you will be responsible for the architecture and development of our mixed-signal simulation platform, made for firmware and electrical engineers.

In addition to the core simulation platform, you will design and develop our hardware verification systems, to make sure simulation behavior matches real-world behavior.

• Experience with GPU programming (CUDA, OpenCL, etc.).
• Developed software tools for embedded devices.
• Past work experience in robotcs, automotive, and/or semiconductors.
