Job summary

People Culture Talent (PCT) partners with early-stage, venture-backed companies to hire exceptional engineers at the earliest growth stages. We're continually seeking Founding Engineers who can build from the ground up, shape technical direction, and have outsized impact on a company's product and trajectory.

Founding Engineer roles vary by client, but typically involve joining a small technical team, working closely with founders, and owning significant portions of both product and engineering

Qualifications

• Significant software engineering experience with a track record of shipping high-quality products.
• Strong technical judgment and pragmatic decision-making in fast-moving environments.
• Ability to work with ambiguity and take ownership with limited structure.
• Product-minded approach with focus on customer and business impact.
• Willingness to work across different areas of the technical stack.

Responsibilities

• Build and launch core products and features from zero to one.
• Make foundational architecture and technology decisions for scalable growth.
• Work across the stack based on product and business needs.
• Partner directly with founders, customers, and early team members to translate ideas into working products.
• Establish engineering practices, systems, and standards as the team grows.
• Help identify, evaluate, and solve ambiguous technical and product challenges.
• Contribute to hiring and building the future engineering organization.
