Job summary

Vantage Community Services in Central Alberta is seeking a Foster Care Support Worker (Full-Time) to provide essential support to children, youth and their foster families. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to promote stability and positive family-based care.

Applicants should have a Human Services background, in-home experience with youth, and current certifications (First Aid/CPR, PIC, IRC) along with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or undergraduate degree in Human Services or related field with four years of related experience.
  • In-home support experience with youth and families preferred.
  • Current certifications in Standard First Aid/Level C CPR, PIC, IRC, valid driver’s license, and Driver’s Abstract.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing support services to children, youth and foster families to promote enduring substitute family-based care.
  • Maintain accurate and consistent records of client interactions and progress.

Foster Care Support Worker (Full-Time) Opportunity:

The Foster Care Support Worker is responsible for support services to children and youth and their foster families in order to promote enduring substitute family-based care.
