Job summary

Arcadia in Toronto is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to drive end-to-end deployments of an enterprise AI platform within healthcare partners. Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and backend development experience in Python, Java, or similar languages.
• Hands-on experience building LLM-based applications, with exposure to delivering AI systems in production or customer-facing settings.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and comfort owning work from requirements through delivery.
• A strong academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience with healthcare data, regulated environments, or secure enterprise deployments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the implementation and deployment of an enterprise AI platform across partner health systems.
• Build backend integrations and data pipelines connecting the platform to secure hospital data systems.
• Work with hospital teams to understand their AI applications, clinical workflows, and monitoring requirements.
• Help onboard predictive models, LLM applications, and agentic systems, identifying appropriate metrics and developing custom monitors where needed.
• Partner with clinicians, hospital technology teams, and internal Engineering, Data, ML, and Governance teams to drive implementations through to production.
• Troubleshoot integration and deployment challenges, with a strong focus on reliability and correctness.
• Turn recurring customer requirements into reusable tooling and platform improvements.

We are working with a fast-growing AI software company, and they are looking to hire a Forward Deployed Engineer in Toronto to help bring AI into real-world healthcare environments. It's AI Management System helps major North American health systems monitor, govern, and safely scale predictive AI, generative AI, and emerging agentic applications.

This is a hands-on engineering role combining software development, AI implementation, and direct collaboration with customers. You’ll own platform deployments end to end, build integrations with hospital systems, and work closely with clinical and technical stakeholders to solve meaningful problems.
