Job summary

COREALIS Pharma Inc. in Laval, QC is seeking a scientifically minded professional to support its oral solid dosage formulation development and pharmaceutical process development activities.

The role provides technical support to formulators during R&D, including literature reviews, equipment setup and cleaning, manufacturing, packaging, and physical testing of R&D batches. You will characterize APIs using XRPD, DSC, TGA, PSD and other tests; develop formulations and processes; select dosage

Qualifications

• BSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences or Master's in Drug Development (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to formulators during R&D activities (literature reviews, equipment setup and cleaning, manufacturing, packaging, and physical testing of R&D batches).
• Support technical and quality activities within the GMP pilot plant.
• Source laboratory consumables, equipment, and accessories, and provide purchasing recommendations.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Characterize APIs using XRPD, DSC, TGA, DVS, PSD, density, flowability, compression testing, and other analytical techniques.
• Develop formulations and manufacturing processes.
• Select dosage forms (tablets, capsules, sachets), inactive ingredients (excipients), manufacturing processes, and packaging configurations.
• Analyze formulations (weight variation, hardness, friability, disintegration, moisture content, polymorphic form).
• Conduct stability studies.
• Prepare prototype formulations for pharmacokinetic studies in animal models.
• Prepare technical reports.
