Job Description

10FOLD Group Inc. is looking for a versatile and proactive FORMULATION CHEMIST to join our growing team of accomplished professionals in Okotoks. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our research and development efforts, contributing to innovative solutions in the field of chemistry.

Responsibilities:

• Developing new chemistries for niche challenges
• Developing new chemistries to expand product lines
• Developing new chemistries for current opportunities
• Researching actives, raw materials, and new technologies
• Communicating, mentoring, and educating internal and external stakeholders on findings and procedures
• Assisting field ops with technical questions/challenges
• Project management from start to finish
• Gaining understanding of a problem from the field by meeting with customers and field service representatives
• Guide laboratory technicians in the testing protocol and develop criteria and forms for tracking test results
• Ensure any compiled data is easily accessible departmentally
• Building out new product lines for flow assurance, water treatment, asset integrity, and phase separation

Qualifications and Experience

• MSc or higher in Chemistry with 5+ years of proven chemical blend formulating experience; or
• BSc Chemistry with 10+ years of proven chemical blend formulating experience.
• Education in related sciences will be considered with requisite experience
• Preference given to those with chemical formulating experience in the following fields:
• Water Treatment
• Hard surface cleaning
• Flow assurance
• Degassing process equipment
• Corrosion and scale inhibition
• Microsoft Office

Experience in these are considered an Asset:

• Analytical Chemistry
• Understanding of oilfield infrastructure – downhole and surface
• Experience in plant and pipeline maintenance chemical applications
• Business development
• Ability to navigate public databases (AER Data)

Other Requirements

• The selected candidate can be expected to intermittently travel a total of 1-2 weeks per year.
