Owens Corning is looking for interested candidates to join our Operations team full-time in the role of Forming Operator. Successful candidates will be trained to operate equipment to form glass fibre products sold to customers around the globe.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Participate in the safety and good housekeeping programs as established within the plant
  • Glass forming fundamentals related to the management of fiber creation process
  • Process adjustment / control strategy to maintain quality standards
  • Operation and knowledge of Quality Control Systems
  • Interpretation and application of Statistical Process Control
  • Equipment restoration, inspection and lubrication to drive process reliability
  • Troubleshooting process upset conditions
  • Pallet building and packaging requirements
  • Forklift and Walkie operation supporting overall warehouse product management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency
  • 1-3 years manufacturing / industrial experience preferred
  • Participation and successful completion of workplace skills assessment
  • Be prepared to work a rotating 12-hour day / night shift (Includes weekends and holidays)
