Job Overview

Owens Corning is looking for interested candidates to join our Operations team full-time in the role of Forming Operator. Successful candidates will be trained to operate equipment to form glass fibre products sold to customers around the globe.

Key Accountabilities

  • Participate in safety and good housekeeping programs as established within the plant
  • Understand glass forming fundamentals related to fiber creation process
  • Adjust and control processes to maintain quality standards
  • Operate and understand Quality Control Systems
  • Interpret and apply Statistical Process Control
  • Restore, inspect, and lubricate equipment to ensure process reliability
  • Troubleshoot process upset conditions
  • Build pallets and manage packaging requirements
  • Operate forklift and walkie to support warehouse product management

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years manufacturing / industrial experience preferred
  • Complete workplace skills assessment successfully
  • Willing to work rotating 12-hour day / night shifts, including weekends and holidays
