Job summary

DECAST, located near Barrie, ON, seeks a Forklift Operator to move, load and unload infrastructure products, supporting yard, production and fleet activities. You will stage loads, ensure safety compliance and collaborate with drivers to prepare shipments.

Requirements include at least one year of machinery experience, strong communication, and the ability to work in a high-traffic yard with proper PPE. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of relevant machinery experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks in a high-traffic yard.
• Knowledge of safety guidelines and PPE requirements (MTO approve).

Responsibilities

• Loading finished products onto flat-bed or float load trucks for delivery.
• Plan and stage loads to determine required products and ensure safety procedures.
• Operate forklift to move products and materials within yard or production areas.
• Communicate with Yard associates and other equipment operators.
• Unload raw materials and place in designated storage areas.
