Job summary

Gcg Companies is seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate in Calgary, AB. The role focuses on unloading, receiving, shipping, relocating, and storing materials using a forklift or other power equipment.

Key duties include safe operation of forklift, accurate picking/packing, labeling, and updating the Warehouse Management System. You will support inventory control, cycle counts, and daily safety procedures while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse/manufacturing experience required.
• Forklift experience and certification within 30 days.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Able to lift/move up to 40 pounds solo and in team lifts.

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient operation of all power equipment requiring certification.
• Move products safely, including loading/unloading trucks.
• Pick and pack items for shipment, potentially with a forklift.
• Label and prepare items for shipment.
• Coordinate with Inventory Control on product placement.

Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $23.50/hr
Shift: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Location: Calgary, AB

Responsible for the accurate unloading, receiving, shipping, relocating, and storing of materials, utilizing a forklift or other power operated equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient operation of all power operated equipment that requires certification
• Safe and efficient movement of Product. (Including loading and unloading trucks)
• Accurately pick and pack items for shipment potentially with a forklift
• Label and prepare items for shipment
• Work with Inventory Control on correct product placement
• Complete required paperwork and project time-tracking documentation
• Maintain warehouse order to ensure pallet locations are kept available for incoming items
• Ensure all items not required short term are restocked according to established procedures
• Update Warehouse Management System with transaction
• Performs daily safety checklist and standard battery charging procedure
• Assist with contacting freight couriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries
• Assist in cycle counting and periodic inventories
• Assist team members in meeting and exceeding customer expectations
• Update supervisor and team lead on issues or concerns
• Participate in process Improvement by communicating to supervisor and/or team lead
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
• Support and maintain corporate quality, health and safety standards, processes, policies, practices and work instructions. (ISO standards where applicable)
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Current forklift certification and/or ability to become certified within a 30-day period required

• Must be able to read and understand written and verbal instructions
• Ability to pay attention to detail to ensure accuracy
