Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Alberta is seeking a dependable warehouse associate for our Impact Centre. This full-time, on-site role involves operating forklifts, handling donations, and moving goods safely while meeting daily targets.

You will work 25-37.5 hours per week on a 3-month contract, with potential for extension. The position requires physical stamina, ability to lift 22 lbs+, basic English, and a willingness to pass a Criminal Record Check.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is an asset.
• Forklift certification or willingness to be trained and certified.
• Ability to lift more than 10 kg (22 lbs) and perform repetitive tasks.
• Strong commitment to health and safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Sufficient English communication skills to follow instructions and complete basic documentation.
• Eligibility to work in Canada and ability to pass a Criminal Record Check.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment to move, load, and unload donated goods safely and efficiently.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report mechanical issues or safety concerns to the leader on duty.
• Stack, store, and transport product according to inventory control and donation flow requirements.
• Load and unload trucks, containers, bins, and hoppers for storage, shipment, recycling, or disposal.
• Support waste, salvage, and recycling operations using baling and compaction equipment.
• Complete required documentation, including bills of lading, shipping manifests, and basic reports.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment within the Impact Centre.

What you'll be doing:

What you bring to the table:

High school diploma or equivalent is an asset.

Previous warehouse or material-handling experience is an asset.

Forklift certification or willingness to be trained and certified.

Ability to work safely in a physically demanding, warehouse-based environment.

Capacity to regularly lift more than 10 kg (22 lbs) and perform repetitive physical tasks.

Strong commitment to health and safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Dependable, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Sufficient English communication skills to follow instructions and complete basic documentation.

Eligibility to work in Canada and ability to pass a Criminal Record Check.

Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends, with reliable transportation to and from work.
