FedEx Canada is seeking a Forklift Operator I to safely operate basic powered material handling equipment to support product receipt, storage, and order fulfillment. This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and efficiency in a fast-paced warehouse.

Responsibilities include full-case order picking, retrieving and putting away pallets, conducting quality checks, loading and unloading, building pallets to spec, applying shrink wrap, and maintaining location accuracy through cycle counts.

Qualifications

  • Ability to operate basic powered material handling equipment (e.g., electric pallet jack, forklift).
  • Comfortable working on equipment at extended heights.

Job description

The Forklift Operator I is responsible for safely operating basic powered material handling equipment (excluding Order Picker, Turret, and Drexel) to support product receipt, storage, and order fulfillment. This role ensures product safety, quality, and legality while maintaining operational efficiency and accuracy.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform full-case order picking for replenishment, customer orders, and packaging components.
  • Retrieve and put away pallets in narrow aisle bulk rack storage systems.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure transaction accuracy.
  • Load and unload pallets and cases from trucks and conveyor lines using equipment or manual handling.
