Aerotek is hiring a Forklift Operator/ Warehouse Associate in Delta, BC. The role involves operating forklifts, receiving shipments, and preparing orders in temperature‑controlled settings from ambient to -23°C.

The position requires 3+ years forklift experience, certification, and the ability to lift 50+ lbs. Onsite, with a day shift and potential overtime, the role supports safety and accurate inventory control.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of forklift and warehousing experience.
• Valid forklift certification or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Experience with stand‑up forklifts and SDCB forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Receive, inspect, and store incoming shipments accurately.
• Pick, pack, sort, and stage products for outgoing orders.
• Load and unload containers, trailers, and trucks.
• Palletize and organize products to meet customer and operational requirements.
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all handling and documentation.
• Perform general warehouse duties, including cleaning and maintaining work areas and equipment.
• Follow all health and safety regulations including CFIA and HACCP protocols.
• Assist with inventory control, including cycle counts and product checks.
• Work in temperature-controlled environments from ambient to -23°C.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

The Forklift Driver / Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting various operational components within the warehouse. This role involves working in diverse temperature settings, including room temperature, cooler (1-3°C), and freezer (-23°C) environments. All necessary safety and warming gear will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

• Receive, inspect, and store incoming shipments accurately.

• Pick, pack, sort, and stage products for outgoing orders.

• Load and unload containers, trailers, and trucks.

• Palletize and organize products to meet customer and operational requirements.

• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all handling and documentation.

• Perform general warehouse duties, including cleaning and maintaining work areas and equipment.

• Follow all company, provincial, and federal health and safety regulations, including CFIA and HACCP protocols.

• Assist with inventory control, including cycle counts and product checks.

• Work effectively in temperature-controlled environments, ranging from ambient to -23°C.

• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of forklift and warehousing experience.

• Valid forklift certification or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Comfortable operating a stand‑up forklift and SDCB forklift.

• Experience or comfort working in cold storage environments.

• Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs when required.

• Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Work Environment

Day Shift (1st) Monday to Friday from 10 AM to 6 PM, with 1-2 overtime Sunday shifts per month. There is an option for a 7:00 AM start, but 10 AM is preferred. The work environment includes temperature‑controlled areas, ensuring comfort and safety.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delta, BC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
