Job summary

Labatt Breweries of Canada Edmonton Brewery is hiring for on-site manufacturing roles. The position involves operating forklifts, palletizers, and packing equipment across 7:00am-3:00pm, 3:00pm-11:00pm, and 11:00pm-7:00am shifts. Overtime is available under labour laws and the collective agreement.

5 days/week on site. You will prepare bills of lading in SAP, participate in continuous improvement activities, and ensure HACCP/EH&S procedures are followed, including pallet inspections and material

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience operating forklift or similar machinery.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects and work on feet for long shifts.
  • Willingness to wear PPE and comply with safety procedures.

Through our broad portfolio, we are truly a national brewer, with over 3,600 employees, a portfolio of more than 60 quality beers and beyond, and 10 breweries from coast-to-coast, we are proud to serve Canada and the communities we call home.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Operation of machines, e.g. forklifts, palletizers (2), stretch wrappers (2), power floor sweeper & balerPreparing bills of lading in SAP or other supply chain computer programEngagement and participation in continuous improvement activities (5S, VPO, PDCA’s, Shift hand overs)Responsible for all HACCP and EH&S procedures in the department which includes but is not limited to: FG pallet inspections, trailer inspections, forklift inspections and cleaningReceiving of incoming materials, completing documentation and general knowledge of chemical containment areaCompleting documentation for all outbound loadsRecording of palletizer breakageThe operators may be required to train other operatorsAll other duties as assignedJOB QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalentOperating machinery (e xperience operating a forklift )Engage in physical activities and manual labor as requested, including but not limited to prolonged standing, walking, lifting pushing, twisting, pulling and bendingClimb ladder/stairs .Work on slippery floor.Able to l ift objects higher than the shoulders , be e xpos ed to vibrations and loud noise .Participate in the hearing conservation program.Ability to wear all PPE as required : including safety shoes, glasses, bump cap (plastic insert), hearing protection (jewelry must be taken off)Able to work shift work (Day, afternoons, and midnights)W illingness to work with others (packaging department (employees, truck drivers, couriers, etc.)Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritiesW illingness to learn supply chain related computer programsA ttention to detailW illingness to learn and improve processesM echanical aptitude and willingness to assist maintenanceWHY LABATT:As one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers, Labatt is a place where our people can bring out the best in themselves through a collective purpose of creating A Future With More Cheers.
