Job summary

Apex Aluminum Extrusions in Langley, BC is hiring a Forklift Operator for our Packaging team. This full-time, permanent role offers a stable, fast-paced environment where safety and teamwork drive success.

You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move heavy aluminum loads, perform routine upkeep, and support loading and unloading across the plant. Shift is 5:30 PM to 4:00 AM, Monday to Thursday.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience (minimum 1 year production floor experience required).
• Previous experience in driving Hyster and other similar equipment (preferred).
• Warehouse distribution experience.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Move and lift aluminum logs 20-25 ft long and around 1000 lbs using a forklift and pallet jack.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently per prescribed methods.
• Inspect and perform minor maintenance on forklift or equipment daily.
• Ensure job quality meets company standards and customer requirements.
• Assist in loading/unloading and other duties as assigned.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Forklift Operator to join our Packaging team in Langley, BC. This is a full-time, permanent position, with an excellent benefits package, and room for growth.

Shift Schedule: 5:30 PM - 4:00 AM, Monday - Thursday

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Using a forklift and/or pallet jack to safely and efficiently move and lift aluminum logs that are 20-25 ft long and around 1000 lbs. in weight, as well as other heavy material loads.
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
• On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment (i.e., adding hydraulic fluid if necessary)
• Ensure job quality meets company standards and customer requirements.
• Assist in other parts of the plant including loading/unloading as required.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Knowledge/Experience And Skills
