Job Responsibilities
  • Assessing the overall operational integrity and condition of forklifts and trucks
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults and communicating repair solutions clearly.
  • Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance
  • Ordering parts using technical manuals and diagnostic tools
  • Documenting and analyzing breakdowns following standard procedures
  • Delivering both technical excellence and outstanding service
Qualifications
  • High school completion or equivalent, and 3–5 years’ experience as a mechanical technician
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems (battery and propane engine-powered equipment)
  • Confident using hand tools, measuring devices, and electronic diagnostic tools
  • Experience with industrial equipment, lifting/rigging, and machinery installation
  • Must be able to read electrical schematics
  • Ability to read and follow technical procedures
  • Current forklift licence and G driver licence
  • Able to work independently, manage your own jobs, and train apprentices (If required)
  • Strong people skillswith teammates
  • Honest, reliable and proud of your workmanship
