The Home Depot in Ottawa is seeking a Receiving Associate to unload merchandise, verify inbound freight, and ensure correct stock placement. The role requires operating lift equipment, following receiving guidelines, and supporting the Fulfillment Team to meet store needs.

Responsibilities include stocking, merchandising, and attention to safety while assisting customers and coordinating deliveries. A high school diploma and at least 1 year of receiving experience are expected, with forklift

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year receiving experience.
• Previous forklift experience considered an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Understand carrier unload processes for efficient freight management.
• Follow receiving standards that are in place.
• Keep receiving area clean and organized.
• Unload merchandise using designated equipment.
• Receive all inbound freight including special orders.
• Identify and verify packing slips, carrier docs, UPCs and match to PO.
• Schedule deliveries and enter information into the receiving system.
• Count cartons and merchandise to ensure freight accuracy.
• Identify damaged merchandise and take appropriate action.
• Stock merchandise onto shelves to maintain 100% in stock.
• Use safety procedures when organizing merchandise.
• Merchandise new items as directed and build end caps.
• Break down and dispose of trash by end of shift.
• Communicate in-stock levels with Fulfillment Team.
• Demonstrate customer engagement and help identify customer needs.
