Qualifications

• GED (Grade 12) or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years in building materials industry is an asset.
• Forklift certificate or related safety training is an asset.
• Class 5 driver’s license is an asset and may be required for a vehicle.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs repeatedly.
• Effective communication with the delivery team, vendors, and customers.
• Capable of collaborating in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Understands and ensures compliance with company policy, procedures, and safe work practices.
• Builds orders as directed to ensure readiness for trucks.
• Safely loads customer purchases and delivery trucks while optimizing space.
• Safely unloads and organizes received products in warehouse/yard.
• Ensures proper documentation is completed and returned promptly.
• Receives and files customer sales orders for pickup.
• Performs preventative maintenance of forklifts and warehouse equipment.
• Completes pre-use inspections and reports deficiencies.
• Maintains warehouse/yard organization and cleanliness.
• Participates in regular inventory counts and communicates levels.
• Has a general understanding of the company’s products and services.
• Produces quality work with minimal supervision.
