Job summary

Kenroc Building Materials Co. is seeking a delivery team member to ensure safe, accurate, and timely truck loads and deliveries across our Western Canada network. You will count loads, verify weights and deliveries, and help maintain safety standards on every site.

Requirements include a Class 1 license with delivery experience, GED, and asset training such as forklift/crane certification. Expect a collaborative, safety‑driven environment with competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

  • GED (Grade 12) is required.
  • Class 1 Driver's License with at least 1 year of delivery experience.
  • Forklift and/or Crane certificate is an asset; Crane cert may be required by provincial regulation.
  • Fall Arrest, First Aid, Equipment Operation, and Air Endorsement training are assets.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and ensure compliance with company policy, procedures, and safe work practices.
  • Provide leadership and direction on safe material handling and required training to Material Handlers.
  • Count loads and complete delivery slips to ensure truck load accuracy.
  • Ensure truck weight limits are respected and product is secured properly.
  • Complete safety documentation for the delivery cycle and required equipment per Safety Manual.
  • Conduct pre-trip equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
  • Complete jobsite hazard assessments prior to unloading at each location.
  • Prepare count sheets, reconcile sales orders, and file packing slips.
  • Assist operations leader and Dispatcher in warehouse truck-load building.
  • Know the company products and services and perform tasks with minimal supervision.

Position Summary

All members of the Kenrocteam will demonstrate respect and ethical conduct, will work safely, provide excellent customer service, and will work with the team to support superior performance in the achievement of both individual and company goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understands and ensures consistent compliance with company policy, procedures, and safe work practices.
  • Provides leadership, direction on safe material handling and required training to Material Handlers.
  • Responsible for counting the load and completing delivery slips to ensure the truck load is accurate.
  • Ensures truck weight requirements are adhered to and that trucks do not exceed maximum legal axle weights and/or insured GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight)/GVCW (Gross Vehicle Combined Weight) limits. Ensures the weight of the product is distributed evenly and is properly secured.
  • Ensures safety protocols and documentation for the full delivery cycle, including equipment as per the Safety Manual are accurately and efficiently completed and filed.
  • Conducts pre-trip equipment inspection to ensure safe and efficient operation and submits report to the operational leader to ensure maintenance is performed.
  • Completes a jobsite hazard assessment prior to unloading materials for each delivery location.
  • Ensures count sheets, sales orders reconciliation and packing slips are accurately and efficiently completed and filed.
  • Provides assistance to the operational leader and/or Dispatcher in the preparation and building of truck loads at the warehouse.
  • Must have a general understanding of the Company’s products and services.
  • Produce quality work and complete tasks with minimal supervision.

As a member of the KenrocTeam, employees may be requested to contribute to duties outside of the role’s main scope of responsibilities as per required qualifications, licensing, and safety certifications.

Skills & Qualifications
  • GED (Grade 12).
  • Class 1 license with at least one (1) year of delivery experience.
  • Forklift and/or Crane certificate is an asset. If required by provincial regulation a Crane Safe Certification may be required.
  • Fall Arrest, First Aid, Equipment Operation, and Air Endorsement training is an asset.
  • Repetitively lift up to 110 lbs.
  • Possess strong critical thinking skills used to make field decisions.
  • Possess the ability to communicate effectively with the delivery team, vendors and customers.
  • Work collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a respectful and ethical manner.
Pre-employment Conditions
  • Provide validated Class 1 Driver's License and current Drivers Abstract, dated within 7 days of candidate application.
  • Consent to and pass a pre-employment drug test (Policy C-14 Substance and Alcohol Abuse Prevention).
