Job summary

CPM Holdings, Inc. is seeking a skilled machinist to lay out, set up and operate heavy metalworking equipment in a manufacturing environment. You will read specifications, follow instructions, and document work while adhering to safety standards.

The role requires ability to read blueprints and calibrate measuring devices. You will operate cranes and lift trucks, inspect machinery, perform minor repairs and maintain tools for efficient production.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined.
• Ability to read measuring devices (measuring tapes, digital calipers).
• High School diploma.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, set up and operate heavy metalworking machines (e.g., CNC, presses).
• Read specifications or follow verbal instructions.
• Inspect and troubleshoot machinery; perform minor repairs.
• Document work completed and replace parts as required.
• Read blueprints and diagrams to determine procedures.
• Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes and lift trucks.
• Clean, lubricate equipment and maintain tools.

JOB DUTIES

• Lay out, set up and operate one or more heavy metalworking machines such as power presses, saws, plate rolls, drills, , computer numerically controlled (CNC) equipment,
• Read specifications or follow verbal instructions
• Position heated metal ingots, on die of press or other forging machinery
• Troubleshoot and perform corrective action or minor repairs
• Document work completed
• Clean or lubricate equipment and replace parts as required
• Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
• Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes and lift trucks
• Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
• Other duties as required
