Job summary

Hampton Lumber is seeking a Forestry Supervisor based in Burns Lake, BC to plan, coordinate, and supervise forest operations and support functions for our sawmills. You will manage contractors, budgets, and compliance to deliver fibre safely and cost-effectively, interacting with government bodies and Indigenous communities.

Ideal candidates hold a professional forestry designation or are eligible, with at least 2 years in forest operations, and demonstrate strong leadership, budgeting, and

Qualifications

• Registered Professional Forester (RPF) or Registered Forest Technologist (RFT), or equivalent registration in the relevant province, or eligible for registration.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in forest operations, woodlands management, or harvest supervision.
• Self-motivated team player with a strong work ethic and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Experience working in forest-based industries, preferably supplying to sawmills.
• Demonstrated experience in contract management, budgeting, cost control, and operational supervision.

Responsibilities

• Oversee forest operations planning, coordination, supervision, and execution for sawmills.
• Manage contractors, personnel, budgets, and compliance to deliver fibre safely and cost-effectively.
• Interface with Government agencies, Indigenous communities, stakeholders, and internal departments.
• Monitor road/bridge construction, block development, harvesting, and log quality control.
