Job summary

Western Forest Products Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor (Woods) for our Campbell River operation in BC. You will lead safety-driven production, manage end-to-end wood flow, and drive efficiency while ensuring regulatory compliance and sustainable practices.

The role requires 5+ years in forestry operations, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate crews and contractors in a unionized environment. LKSM partnership offers competitive rewards and development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of forestry operations experience.
  • High School diploma or higher.
  • Familiar with unionized work environment.
  • Knowledge of high lead and ground base yarding systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in safety and environmental stewardship and ensure compliance with safety and sustainability processes.
  • Support the establishment and ongoing improvement of production phase metrics.
  • Control inventory and contribute to the financial well-being of the operation.
  • Lead and coordinate safety, cost reduction, and efficiency with hourly employees and contractors.
  • Supervise USW hourly employees and contractors to meet production goals within policies and regulations.
  • Hire, train and manage performance of hourly staff and contractors.
  • Oversee end-to-end wood flow: yarding, loading, and hauling to meet daily targets.
